Captain Anthony Steven Garrovick was a Starfleet Officer in the mid 23rd century and was the Commanding Officer of the Federation Starship USS Farragut .
During a mission to Tycho IV in 2257, Garrovick and 200 members of his crew were killed when the Farragut was attacked by a dikironium cloud creature. (TOS: "Obsession")
Captain Garrovick ("Steve" to his friends and colleagues) was an excellent role model and mentor to the members of his crew (including a young Lieutenant named James T. Kirk). He was also an inspiration to the members of his family. Both his son, Steven and his nephew, Quince, eventually joined Starfleet when they came of age, following in his footsteps.
