Equipment[]
While they were famous for their white environmental suits, and especially helmets, when not fighting in environmental suits, the Lyran stormtroopers wore brown uniforms, hence the name of brownshirt used to designate stormtroopers internally within Lyran Starfleet. They wielded MD-11 disruptor rifles in long-range combat, while using disruptor pistols in close-quarters combat. (Star Trek: False Vacuum)

Production notes[]
The Lyran stormtroopers had their names and their EV suits borrowed from Star Wars. Since the stormtrooper armor in Star Wars was almost useless in defending against weapons other than gas weapons, the stormtrooper armor in SW was used in Star Trek: False Vacuum as an EV suit, because they were little more than glorified EV suits in their original settings.
