Stuart Fritter

Stu Fritter was a human Starfleet officer who served in the 24th century. He was descended from a long line of Starfleet officers. (Star Trek: The Nomad Frontier)

Background

Stu was born aboard a Federation starship in 2335. He is the son of the legendary Admiral Patrick Fritter.

Starfleet Academy

For four years, from 2353 to 2356, Stu was James Farrell's roommate at the Academy. The two were known more for their parties and practical jokes than anything else, although Stu did better academically than James.

Early Career

At some point after graduating from Starfleet Academy, Stu was posted aboard the USS Lexington. Although by 2370, he was serving as first officer of the USS Passchendaele. (ST: TNF "Baptism of Fire")

USS Passchendaele

In 2371, Captain McBride, the Passchendaele's commanding officer, retired, and Stu was promoted to replace him. In 2372, the ship was part of a Starfleet task force that was assembled to respond to a potential Klingon attack on the Federation. (ST: TNF "Death Before Dishonor")

Personal Life

Although he was close friends with James Farrell, the two drifted apart after they graduated from the Academy. Later on, when they were both starship captains, they would rekindle their friendship. Due to his last name, Stu was often referred to as "Cadet Donut" while at the Academy. He was married at one point, to a fellow Starfleet officer, although they are now divorced. He refuses to speak her name, instead only referring to her by unflattering nicknames.
