Svek was a Starfleet officer in the late 24th century. He served as Chief Engineer of the USS Pendragon in 2379. (Star Trek: Pendragon)

Svek was born in ThalnaKahr, Vulcan in the year 2336. He attended the Vulcan Science Academy and later entered Starfleet Academy in 2356. His early assignments included posts in engineering on the USS Ballard, USS Van Halen and Starbase 418.

In 2374, Svek was assigned to Starfleet Research and Development. While at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, he was one of a team of engineers working on the Pendragon Class Development Project.

In 2379, he was assigned as Chief Engineer on the USS Pendragon, joining the ship at Vulcan for the remainder of her shakedown cruise. Almost immediately, Svek was responsible for saving the ship when he detected and repaired the vessel's sabotaged antimatter injectors. (PDN: "True North")

During the course of his assignment on Pendragon, he became close friends with the ship's commanding officer, Captain Timothy Sinclair.

In October 2379, Lieutenant Benjamin Riniker helped Svek investigate the death of his colleague from the Science Academy, Dr. Sulek. (PDN: "The Forgeman")

At the end of 2379, Svek was part of an undercover team assigned to infiltrate a Tal Shiar construction facility in the Demilitarized Zone. He sacrificed his life to destroy a Romulan invasion fleet. (PDN: "In Darkness Find Me", "Twilight's Call")

While Svek's body was lost, Sinclair returned his katra to Vulcan, where it was placed in the Hall of Ancient Thought. (PDN: "Still Comes the Dawn")
