The Sybaron system is a star system located towards the rimward edge of the Federation.
The system was uninhabited but several of the fifteen planets were suitable for colonization. Of the planets in the system the inner four where class D or F. The fifth was a class K planet. The next three were class G or H. The ninth to thirteenth planets were class J planets and the outer two were class D planets. (The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
In 2374, the Starfleet Seventh Fleet engaged Dominion forces in the system that resulted in heavy losses to the Starfleet force. (DS9: "The Reckoning"; The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
