The Syracuse class was a class of Federation destroyers in operation during the 23rd century.
The prototype and first block of these vessels were named after ancient Earth cities that had successfully resisted assaults and sieges, while the second block was named after Terran gods and demigods.
Standard complement was 40 officers and 162 non-commissioned/enlisted personnel. (Delta Dynamics: Star Fleet Starship Recognition Manual: Report: Syracuse Destroyers)
- Other statistics, such as for warp speed, armaments, and defenses, are based on the initial block of Syracuse-class ships in the 2220s.
Background[]
Primary inspiration for the Delta Dynamics' version of the Syracuse class and its variants came from Timo Saloniemi's Hobbyist's Guide to the UFP Starfleet, while the ship's design origins lies with Star Fleet Technical Manual (Joseph), Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek, and Axanar.
