T'korex class

The T'korex class was a type of warbird that saw service with the Romulan Star Empire during the 24th century. The class entered service in 2366. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 5: Starships of the Romulan Star Empire; The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)

The T'korex was born from the development project that saw the creation of the D'deridex class and resembled a smaller version of that design. Its main difference was that its underhull extended to the command hull rather than connecting via a boom and other minor differences. It proved to be a highly popular design and it was preferred by some commanders due to its greater maneuverability and ease of internal customization over that of the D'deridex and saw as many T'korexs built as its larger cousin.

During the Dominion War they were a common sight in Romulan fleet groups and served right up to the final Battle of Cardassia. Many were destroyed and the Star Empire would take a long time to rebuild from these losses. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 5: Starships of the Romulan Star Empire)
