I respectfully disagree. The Gorn ship from Star Trek Remastered was out there to intercept intruders into their space. Since the Federation named it, just like the Klingon D-7 Battlecruiser, it is there to fit the perception of the persons who named the ship in first encounters. And we refer to it as the Scorpion Class Interceptor in our series. -- Sincerely, Ken Thomson
But the actual name of the thing, even as Starfleet calls it, wouldn't be "Gorn Scorpion class." It'd be Scorpion class. Interceptor is a type of ship, not a name of a class.
