Tedak, an Antaran civilian from the Beta Antares IV, served as the chef of the Prometheus starting in 2378. (Star Trek: Prometheus)

History

Prior to becoming a Starfleet chef Tedak was considered a master chef on Beta Antares IV. When asked why he gave up running his own resturant on Beta Antares IV to become a chef on a Starfleet vessel Tedak would never give a straight answer.

Tedak kept a Type two phaser and a medkit hidden under the serving counter in the Prometheus' mess hall in case of emergencies.

Like the chef on Jonathan Archer's Enterprise, Tedak served as an unofficial ship's morale officer since the Prometheus had no official morale officer or counselor. In this capacity Tedak often quoted his maternal grandmother when giving advice.
