"The Castaway" was the 37th fan film until the umbrella title of Project Potemkin. It was written by David Eversole and Randall Landers. "The Castaway" was directed by Bill Mackenzie and Christin Woods, with additional scenes directed by Lee Drew. The film was edited by Randall Landers.
It was released on 30 November 2022.
Seven years ago, the Constitution-class heavy cruiser USS Potemkin, Captain Alec Grigory, commanding, was set upon by 11 Romulan Birds of Prey. The crew abandoned ship, but Alec Grigory was lost, presumed deceased. Now, many of his old crew have been reunited, assigned to a new USS Potemkin -- NCC-4517 -- and dispatched with orders to meet a shuttlecraft with its pilot, a Doctor Skep Anderson, formerly of the USS Tristan, and his passenger, identity unknown.
