"The Cloud Aloft" was the sixth episode in the first season of Star Trek: Phoenix-X, and was actually two episodes in one.
The Cloud Aloft
The Phoenix-X speeds through the Gamma Quadrant, still there from the previous adventure. As they continue on course for the wormhole, the Phoenix-X finds that their Transwarp engine is starting to act up. To add to worse matters, they encounter the Jem'Hadar and a giant, anomalous cloud. This cloud threatens the Jem'Hadar, but for some reason helps the Phoenix-X`s Transwarp engines. In fact, a plan is cracked on how to use the cloud to fix the engines.

Background information
- "Home, Part II" comes after the Episode 7 short: "Deal".
- In this episode and "Home, Part II", the Commander's name randomly changes from Night to Gotens. Both are correct as his name at this point was Night Gotens. This episode serves as a transitional change for the Commander to be referred to as Gotens for the rest of the season.
