The Lark and the Nightingale is the fourth episode of the fan series Tamerlane.
Stardate 4952.28: The Tamerlane is dispatched to the star system "Tapsa" to oversee the operations of a Federation archeology team. They are confronted by a hostile Tapsan force while discovering an alien spacecraft that came out of the Azure Nebula, and during an especially tense moment, one of the Tapsan ships suddenly explodes.
