Topaline is a substance used in life-support systems. Among other places, it was found in abundance on Capella IV (TOS: "Friday's Child"). Its atomic number is 117 and the most stable isotope weighs 306. Topaline was discovered by Terrans on Ganymede, a satellite of Jupiter (Sol V) in 2021 (Star Fleet Medical Reference Manual)
A survey of Wolf-catalogue stars within a 5-parsec sphere from Sol in the early 22nd century discovered that the fifth planet of Wolf 359 had reserves of both topaline and pergium, which led to the establishment of the Yogyakarta Baru colony. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station)
