The Tovolo system was a star system part of the Iron Fang County, within the Lyran Star Empire. It was home to an asteroid field, the Scrap Yard.
The First Battle of Tovolo took place in 2294 during the ISC War of Pacification, where the Kzinti Patriarchy destroyed an ISC shipyard in an asteroid field, using a modified tanker as a flying bomb to destroy it. It also resulted in the death of Captain Marinus. (TOS video game: "Starfleet Command II: Empires at War")
- Although SFC2 did not name the system or name the attackers (the player could be of any of the seven races fighting the ISC), the canonical aftermath, however, was that of the destruction of the ISC shipyards.
The Second Battle of Tovolo pit a joint Federation-Lyran force against the Wyldefire Compact, resulting in the destruction of an asteroid-based station, Vegas Station. (Star Trek: False Vacuum: "Scrap Yard Vegas")
