The CUW Trager (Ilojan transliteration: Trayger) was a Galor-class cruiser in service during the 24th century. (TNG: "The Wounded"; Star Trek: Sigils and Unions)

History

Gul Akellen Macet took command of the Trager in 2365. (Star Trek: Sigils and Unions--The Thirteenth Order)

In 2367, the Trager opened fire on the USS Enterprise-D in retaliation for incursions into Cardassian space by the USS Phoenix and after being outmatched by the Enterprise, undertook a joint mission with Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Enterprise (TNG: "The Wounded").

When the Cardassian Union came under Dominion jurisdiction, the Trager was one of twenty ships selected to receive upgraded sensors and transporters based on Dominion technology. This, however, had no sway upon its commander's loyalties.

The Trager continued in grudging service of the Cardassian government through the Dominion War until Macet eradicated the Dominion presence aboard his vessel, just before the devastating Septimus Massacre (known as the Invasion of Septimus III within the Federation). Sickened by the wholesale slaughter of the Eleventh Order of the Cardassian Guard--five hundred thousand souls--Gul Macet confirmed his decision to rebel against the Dominion (Star Trek: Sigils and Unions: The Thirteenth Order).

One of the Trager's first actions against the Dominion was to participate in the Battle of Rondac III, a raid by Cardassian rebels against a Dominion cloning facility. The Trager sustained serious damage during this attack, including a torpedo hit three decks deep near where the ship's backfin joined its main body. Sixty-nine people died in the attack, including Dalin Lakur Haravl, the head of maintenance. (Star Trek: Gateways novel: Demons of Air and Darkness; The Thirteenth Order)

After the Dominion War, Gul Macet would offer the services of the Trager to the Europa Nova colony during the Gateways crisis, bringing its superior sensors and transporters to bear on the evacuation efforts. At this time, due to the Cardassian Union's lack of resources, the Trager still had not received repairs for numerous hull breaches incurred during its time in the rebellion (Star Trek: Gateways novel: Demons of Air and Darkness).

In the Sigils and Unions continuity, "glinn" is revealed to be the rank just below gul, with two glinns reporting to one gul, typically filling the traditional "first officer" role and the chief engineer roles.
