In 2383, the Triangulan forces began an invasion on the Milky Way Galaxy through the use of large scale fleets, espionage, infiltration and sabotage. By the arrival of the Baudelaires, the Triangulans had invaded at least thirteen systems in the Beta Quadrant. These Triangulans, in the Baudelaires' thoughts, are "far worse than Count Olaf, the Dominion and the Borg".
