USS Alliance (NCC-2113)

USS Alliance (NCC-2113) was a Federation-class dreadnought in active Starfleet service in the late 23rd century. The construction of Alliance and her sister ships was authorized stardate 6066. (Star Fleet Technical Manual)

While stardate 6066 would be c. 2270, all ships of this class entered Starfleet service several years earlier, per various fan continuities.

The dreadnought served as James T. Kirk's flagship when he was named Commander of the Kelvan Theater of Operations in 2285 during the Kelvan War. (Orion Press: In Harm's Way)

Alliance's commanding officer was Captain Daniel Williams for about nine years, beginning in 2286. (Orion Press: Chekov's Enterprise) After Williams's death during an attack in the Beta Quadrant, he was succeeded by his executive officer, Gretchen Jaeger. (Orion Press: "The Nature of the Game")

In "The Nature of the Game", Alliance was said to have been the Federation's last remaining dreadnought.
