The USS Bondarenko (NCC-655) was an Gagarin-class science vessel active in the late 23rd century. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station)

A Gagarin-class Bondarenko has the registry NCC-665 in Orion Press: "Just a Little Training Cruise."

In 2291, Lieutenant J.G. Carolyn Adiwoso was assigned to the Bondarenko as assistant chief science officer after her graduation from the Starfleet Academy Command School. The Bondarenko surveyed the Epsilon Balthasar system until late in that year. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station: "Heritage")

The Bondarenko surveyed the Zeta Pi Varanasi cluster in 2292. En route to Varanasi, the Bondarenko stopped at Seaforth Station.

Her commanding officer during this three-year mission (ending in 2293) was Patricia Rivera.

BackgroundEdit

The Bondarenko was named after Valentin Bondarenko (1937-1961), a Soviet cosmonaut of Ukrainian descent, who was killed in a training accident. The incident was not revealed internationally until the 1980s.
