The USS Cartwright (NCC-42953) was an Excelsior-class starship. In 2360, Captain Sydney Caldwell was the commanding officer when the Cartwright disappeared with all hands during the Federation-Tzenkethi War. Starfleet Command assumed the Cartwright was destroyed with all hands.
