USS Constar (NCC-1036)

The USS Constar (NCC-1036) (later NCC-1036-A) was a Federation starship in service during the 23rd (Constar Completed) and 24th centuries (Constar Chronicles).

The ship's relatively low registry suggested that it was refit from the same class of ship that the USS Constellation (NCC-1017) had been.

In 2267, the Constitution-class Constar was in Spacedock, undergoing an overhaul. (Time's Echo) A hundred years later, Constar was in a drydock in the Wolf 359 system and considered a "museum piece". Captain Erick Minard quickly assembled a skeleton crew for the ship to aid in the evacuation of civilians. (Constar Chronicles: Resistance, Break Free, If I Wait Here Long Enough)

23rd century[]

By the early 2270s, Constar was stationed at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. (Constar Completed: Between You and Me, Fantastic Daily) Its warp drive would later be upgraded using technologies that had previously been tested on the lost Charam-class prototype USS Melbourne. 24th century[]

Minard was in command of Constar for some years after the Battle of Wolf 359. (Stand with Me: A Star Trek Fan Production)

Constar surveyed some coreward sectors of the Gamma Quadrant in 2371. On one of its planets, a Constar away team found a log buoy from the USS Nostromo, which had apparently been attacked by a Jem'Hadar vessel. (Stand with Me)

Sometime after this, the Constar crashed on an unnamed planet. Enough of the structure was salvageable to become part of the Constar-A.

By 2373, Constar (renamed the Constar-A) had become a "Frankenstein" ship, with the outer shells of the primary and secondary hulls, and warp nacelles, of the century-old ship, but with components taken from at least half a dozen ships. {The decision to salvage Constar and perform what repairs would be needed had been made a year earlier by both Captain Minard and Commander Timoteo Russo.) Nancy Xing was promoted to captain and became commanding officer of the Constar-A after the retaking of Deep Space 9. (Full Circle)
