USS Costello (NCC-11174)

The USS Costello (NCC-11174) was a Federation Edward Class colony ship in the late 24th century. (Star Trek: Zeta)

History and specifications

The hull consisted of three sections. The primary hull was a half-saucer attached directly to the blocky compartment module, followed by warp nacelles suspended from nacelle pylons connecting a central, short engineering hull. (TNG video games: Birth of the Federation, Armada)

The class had a standard crew complement of 100. (ST video game: Armada)

The USS Costello is launched from Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. It is soon assigned it's first mission, helping to set up the Ivor Prime colony in the Eta Scorpii system.

The Costello continued in its roll as a colony vessel, helping to establish a number of federation and ally colonies.

2373 -2378

With the outbreak of the Dominion War, The USS Costello was used as hospital and rescue ship. During this time Lieutenant Commander Ben Harrington became the ships captain.

While on her first colony mission since the outbreak of the war, The USS Costello is pulled in to an unstable wormhole and arrives in the Zeta Expanse.
