The USS Courageous (NCC-1861) was a Surya-class starship currently launched in 2269. Captain Miranda Jacobs commanded the Courageous after its launch as it set out to explore the unknown and make peaceful contact with new life and civilizations. (Star Trek: The Intrepid Adventures)
