USS Destiny (NCC-74680)

The USS Destiny (NCC-74680) was an Intrepid-class Federation Starship in service in the late 24th century under the command of Captain Johanna Raymer. (DS9: "Image in the Sand", "Shadows and Symbols", Star Trek: The Adventures of Argus)

Ensign Ezri Tigan was assigned to the Destiny as an assistant counsellor in early 2374. (Star Trek: The Adventures of Argus: "Trial By Fire")

In early 2375, the Destiny was assigned to transport the Dax symbiont from Deep Space Nine back to Trill following the death of it's previous host Jadzia. However the ship had been infiltrated by a Changeling who attempted to capture the symbiont. He was discovered by Ezri Tigan, leading to his capture, but not before alerting the Jem'Hadar to the Destiny's position. In the ensuing battle the ship was damaged and unable to complete the journey to Trill in time as Dax's condition worsened, leading to the emergency joining of the symbiont to Ezri. Shortly after the Destiny was assigned to the Seventh Fleet as part of the offensive to recapture the Kalandra sector. (DS9: "Shadows and Symbols", Star Trek: The Adventures of Argus: "U.F.O.")
