The USS Earth was a Federation Galaxy-class large exploration cruiser under construction for Starfleet in the early 25th century.
The Earth was part of the twenty-third production series of Galaxy-class starships, the so-called Planet-class, and was named for the planet Earth, homeworld to humanity and capital of the Federation. The ship was nearing completion in August 2409. (Bait and Switch: "Shakedown Shenanigans")
