The first starship constructed by Starfleet after the massive devastation both the Infection and the civil war caused, the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-F) was the first of the new Sagan-class, similar in size to the Intrepid-class. While all other ships in service to Starfleet are older ships brought out of mothballs, limited to speeds up to Warp 4, the Sagan-class is capable of reaching Warp 9.98. (Star Trek: Lost Frontier)
