The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-H) was an Endurance-class Federation starship. It was the ninth Federation and tenth Starfleet vessel to bear the name. (Star Trek: Frontiers)

History[]

Construction and launch[]

The Enterprise-H was originally the USS Endurance (NX-90000). After the loss of the USS Enterprise-G, the Endurance was renamed Enterprise.

The Enterprise-H was launched in 2420 as a replacement for the Constitution III-class USS Enterprise-G, which had been taken by Separatist forces some months earlier. In a break with tradition, the Enterprise-H was given its name despite being the first of the Endurance class; this was done to give the Federation a "psychological edge" over the Separatist forces who then had control of the previous Enterprise.
