As well, it was named after the Nimitz-class starship USS Europa, flagship of Admiral Brett Anderson, whose crew were fatalities during the Federation-Klingon War (2256-57). (DIS: "The Vulcan Hello", "Battle at the Binary Stars", "Context is for Kings")
