The USS Exeter was an Intrepid-class Federation starship in service during the 24th century.
Following the decommissioning of the Ambassador-class USS Exeter in 2375, Rear Admiral Jana Fleming appointed Commander Indira Sukhija in command of the pre-commissioned unit Exeter at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. Exeter's mission was to explore the Beta Quadrant, once it was commissioned and placed on active duty. (Star Trek: The Quarterdeck Breed: "Exeter")
