USS Farragut II (NCC-1729) was a Constitution-class heavy cruiser — part of the Endeavour-subclass — in service during the late 23rd century. (Star Fleet Technical Manual) It was intended to replace USS Farragut.
- In the continuity of Ships of the Star Fleet, NCC-1729 was named Confiance. In the continuity of Task Force Games, NCC-1729 was a Gettysburg-class heavy command cruiser, Kadesh.
The spaceframe was hardy enough to survive well into the 24th century. After Magna Roma joined the Federation, this ship was sold to the planetary government and renamed Centurion. (TNG novel: The Captain's Honor)
