USS Hypsipyle (NCC-444) was a Valkyr-class medium carrier of the early 23rd century.
In 2275, Hypsipyle was one of the Federation starships that greeted the USS Enterprise upon her return to Sector 001 following a test of the inversion drive. (Star Trek: The Original Series novel: The Wounded Sky)
Following the ratification of the Khitomer Accords, unlike the other extant ships of her class, Hypsipyle was not scrapped because she proved useful as an orbital storage facility at the Qualor II storage depot. (Hobbyist's Guide to the UFP Starfleet and Its History, Part 1a)
