The Immanuel Kant started its life as a standard Excelsior-class vessel. At some point prior to 2370 it underwent a refit at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards.
The ship was destroyed in 2370 by the Maquis.

- The Ship is named after the German philosopher Immanuel Kant. This is an allusion to the element of the episode Bruderkrieg of Dragon Ball Z vs. Star Trek: The Beginning of Infinity where Rene Michael doesn't want to continue with his mission, but he does it because it's his duty.
