USS Jadzia Dax

The USS Jadzia Dax was a Federation Luna-class starship active in Starfleet in the early 25th century. (Bait and Switch)

History

In 2409, the Dax was under the authority of Admiral Anthony Marconi, the Flag Officer-in-Command of Starfleet's Beta Ursae Fleet Area, and was based out of Deep Space 9. Late that year, Dax, along with USS Bajor and USS Amaterasu, was ordered to respond to an Orion Syndicate attack on the Bajoran colony on Dreon VII. Bajor arrived first and secured the system, and Dax stayed behind to provide medical support while Bajor and Amaterasu were sent to join the Marduk Carrier Battle Group to launch a retaliatory strike. In 2410, the Dax used an antiproton sweep to detect a pair of Terran Imperial Starfleet Defiant-class starships that had attacked a freight convoy out of Oradhe II, killing 123 people and stealing a shipment of reactor parts. The ship was subsequently part of a joint Federation-Klingon-Gorn-Cardassian fleet marshaled to eliminate the Terrans' base in the prime universe. The Dax sustained severe damage during the battle, losing one warp nacelle and suffering a hull breach on the mission pod. (The Wrong Reflection)
