USS Karelia

USS Karelia was a Federation Starfleet Rhode Island-class science vessel on active service in the early 25th century.

Karelia is a region in Northern Europe located on the Finnish-Russian border.

In 2411, Karelia was to relieve USS Bajor on a surveillance mission of the Nuclear Age civilization on the planet Volante, but was held up at Deep Space 4 by a computer malfunction. (Bait and Switch: "Shortest War Ever")
