USS King George V is a Galaxy class command cruiser under the command of Captain Alexander Mitchell. Construction of the ship began on the ship during the Dominion war but the war ended before the ship was completed. The ship, then unnamed, was mothballed until 2394 when the Intrepid class USS King George V was destroyed. Hull number NCC-71836 was pulled from mothballs and named USS King George V in honor of it's predecessor. She was completed and fitted to serve as flagship for Rear-admiral Lupe Fernandez.
USS King George V is currently assigned to Avalon Station, a new starbase in the Gamma quadrant.
