The USS Korolev (NCC-1421) was the lead ship and prototype of the Korolev-class cruisers that were in Federation Starfleet service during the mid-23rd century. It engaged Klingon forces at Inverness V during the Four Years War, and was one of 18 vessels destroyed. (Axanar: Prelude to Axanar)

The class and lead ship were named for Sergei Korolev, the "chief designer" of the Soviet space program.
