The USS Marengo was a Federation Einstein-class starship on duty in the mid-23rd century. In 2266, the ship was captured by Orion pirates who used it to bait and attack other vessels, Federation and civilian. (Bismarck (Eagle comic): "Into the Orion's Den")
Marengo was Alec Grigory's first assignment after graduating from Starfleet Academy in 2265.
Nomenclature[]
Marengo was named after the Battle of Marengo, fought on 14 June 1800 just before the Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815).
