The USS Mekong (NCC-72617) was a Federation Danube-class runabout in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century.
The Mekong was one of the first five Danube runabouts to enter service with Starfleet. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 1: The Ships of Starfleet)
In 2370, the Mekong was assigned to Deep Space 9 to replace the destroyed USS Ganges.
In 2371, the Mekong was captured and stored on a Romulan warbird that was part of the Tal Shiar-Obsidian Order fleet that took part in the Battle of the Omarion Nebula, it was destroyed along with the warbird during the battle.
