USS Nova (NCC-73515) was the lead ship and prototype for the Nova-class light research cruisers that were on active duty in Starfleet during at least the late 24th (VOY: "Equinox, Part 1", "Equinox, Part 2"; Star Trek Nemesis) and early 25th centuries (VOY: "Endgame").

As the Nova-class prototype, it had the registry NX-73515 — as seen in the plans by Strategic Design — derived from the canon registry seen in Star Trek Nemesis. Decipher RPG: Starships gives the erroneous registry of NX-72330.

In 2378, Nova was assigned to Starfleet Battle Group Omega, which was deployed to the Romulan Neutral Zone. (Star Trek Nemesis)
