The USS Ottawa (NCC-75057) was a Prometheus-class starship brought to service in 2374.

As was standard with the Prometheus-class, Ottawa boasted a multi-assault vector mode which allowed the ship to separate into three vessels, each with weapons platforms and capable of warp travel as well as atmospheric flight. (VOY: "Message in a Bottle"; USS Baldwin: "The Return of Khan")

History[]

Ottawa was launched on stardate 51110.9, under the command of Jenna Carson. She was offered Ottawa despite being the first officer of the USS Baldwin for a little over two months. (Baldwin: "Wartime Productions") During the Dominion War, Ottawa was part of several missions and battles, many in tandem with the Baldwin.

On stardate 51133.8, Ottawa pursued a Jem'Hadar ship briefly back in time to the Mutara Nebula on stardate 8255. Captain Carson realized that the Dominion was recruiting Khan to provide a human perspective and assist them in bringing order to the Alpha Quadrant. Ottawa observed that the Dominion accomplished their mission. Soon after, Ottawa assisted in recovering the USS Tian An Men and her crew. (USS Baldwin: "The Return of Khan")

Upon the conclusion of the war, Ottawa began patrolling the border, where they encountered Captain Montgomery Scott. They subsequently rendezvoused with the USS Wildfire at Earth, where Captain Scott was reunited with Ambassador Spock and an ailing Leonard McCoy. (USS Baldwin: "Good Will")

In June of 2377, an Jem'Hadar attack ship controlled by an unknown party briefly seized control over Ottawa. Jenna locked out the controls to maintain control of the ship. At Starbase 42, Baldwin captain Patrick Ingrum determined that the computer system was infected with a virus, requiring a two-week layover to format and reinstall Ottawa's systems from scratch. Ottawa emerged from the drydock in time to take a cruise to Aloran IV, where the crew celebrated Patrick's birthday. The stolen USS Nimitz happened to be in the area, and they took the opportunity to retake her. (USS Baldwin: "Backdoor")
