Not much is known about her early service, although it is reasonable to assume that she is a well-traveled vessel, given her age.
Prior to 2371, she was commanded for an unknown length of time by Captain McBride. (ST: TNF "Death Before Dishonor")
Background[]
The Passchendaele was named for the devastating battle of the same name that was fought in Earth's First World War. The dedication plaque on her bridge bears a quote from a famous poem written during the war: In Flanders fields, the poppies blow; Between the crosses, row on row . . .
