USS Prospero (NCC-1820)

The USS Prospero (NCC-1820) was a Prospero-class Federation starship in need of rescue in 2265. (TOSS)

The Prospero was one of the first production starships using linear warp drive. (TOSS #23 "Linear Warp Drive")

This class is a speculative precursor to the Miranda class.

In 2265 the Prospero was surveying MS2061-1957 system when it was attacked and critically damaged, with many causalities, including the captain and senior officers on the bridge. The USS Mumbai was sent to its rescue. (TOSS #21 "Briefing", #36 "Manual Operation", #37 "Wrong Colour Uniform")
