The USS Rendezvous is a chapter of Starfleet Command's Seventh Fleet. The Rendezvous was, and continues to be, a Star Trek based fan club located in Northern Utah's Cache Valley. She got her name based on a tradition between trappers and traders and Native AMerican Indains who would pick a spot to gather. This gathering would consist of trading, buying and selling, competing in some of the frontier arts (axe throwing, target shooting and telling of lies). Usually held once a year in the same place, it was termed a Rendezvous, so to honor our trapper and trader heritage, the Rendezvous was born. She initially held shuttle status based on the USS Dominion in Ogden, Utah with Stewart Hunsaker, Commanding, Dalice Nilson Second. Meetings were held on the campus of Utah State University, first in the ROTC building and later in the Food Sciences building. George Takei, when invited to USU for graduation, met did seek out and have lunch with Rendezvous members. Early activities included many stints of paintball, decorating the local movie theaters as the various movies were released and attending Space Simulater missions down in Pleasant Grove, UT. Captain Ann Knowlton with Cmdr Matt Chism lead the Rendezvous. Current activities have been much curtailed during the ongoing health crisis, but a short fan film was recently completed to premier at the next Seventh Fleet banquit, with a second film in the pre-production stage. Rendezvous has a Facebook presence with a club group established, https://www.facebook.com/groups/ussrendezvous
