You may be looking for the USS Sacagawea (NX-74014).
For other uses, see Sacagawea.

The USS Sacagawea (NCC-598) was a Hermes-class scout on active duty in the Federation Starfleet during the 23rd century.

There is some confusion over the ship's nomenclature. Older sources, such as the link below this article, refer to her as the USS Sacajawea, while newer evidence argues for the name Sacagawea (the latter may be a deliberate retcon).

This ship was Captain James T. Kirk's first command, from 2261 to 2264. (TOS novel: The Captain's Oath).

The crew complement was 195 officers and crew.

According to some sources, it is roughly half the size of the Constitution-class. The most notable exemplar is the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701), one of the first ships to be built. (Star Fleet Technical Manual)

Nomenclature[]

The ship was named after the indigenous American explorer Sacagawea (1788-1812).
