The USS Shangri-La was the lead ship of the 142nd Tactical Wing, Starfleet Second Fleet until in was destroyed in late 2381.
This aging Excelsior-class refit was under the command of an unnamed Commodore who was killed in the opening volley of the ambush that destroyed the ship. A transphasic signature was discovered on the debris. (STNO: "Deus Ex Machina")
