USS Shepard (NCC-631)

USS Shepard (NCC-631) was a Gagarin-class science scout on active duty in Starfleet during at least the late 23rd century.

Orion Press continuity has Shepard as one of the Mercury VII-subclass of the Gagarins. (Orion Press: "Lexicon S-T" [2010 revision])

Shepard was dispatched to the planet Kenederis IV in 2267 to ascertain if the plague that had led to the planet's isolation in 2219 was still active. The plague turned to be still viable, resulting in no change to the planetary quarantine. (Orion Press: "The Kenederis Incident")

In 2286, Shepard's commanding officer was Captain Clampett. One of her communications officers was Trillya.

Shepard was one of many Starfleet vessels disabled by an alien probe. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

Shepard made the initial survey of the Ohkirot star system, ca. 2290. (Star Trek: Avenger: "Crash")
