USS Texas was a roleplaying game set in the Star Trek universe. The group was open to all experienced and novice writers. An ongoing saga of life in the frontiers of space, the story unfolds with various contributors writing their installations showcasing unique characters in dramatic situations, sent via email to a common mailing list. Each were inspired by the various Star Trek shows, Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise. The group began in 2008.

USS Texas takes a very serious approach to writing and dedication to the Trek vision of Gene Roddenberry.

About the sim

The USS Texas is a new Intrepid-class ship assigned to Star Trek: Starbase Ranger 8. Starfleet realized sometimes a discreet inquiry by a special operations team may be needed to solve some problems that the sovereign class ship could not. Thus, the USS Texas was built. Equipped with advanced weaponry, state-of-the-art warp drive, new sensory technology, and new stealth technology, the crew of the USS Texas, under the command of Marine commander Roken Stone are some of Starfleet's elite, the best of the best, serving the Federation.

With the current unrest in the Federation, and the new joint Galactic Federation with the Klingons, Romulans, Ferengi and the other Federation worlds, there is not only unexplored territory to experience but also unexplored relationships. What will the future hold?
