USS Thermopylae (NCC-74703)

USS Thermopylae (NCC-74703) was an Intrepid-class cruiser on active duty in Starfleet during the late 24th century. Commissioned ca. 2384, she was deployed to the Starfleet Fifth Fleet during much of her operational lifetime.

Thermopylae's first commanding officer was Captain Cathey Fuller and her first executive officer was Lieutenant Commander Rose Mattison.

The 503rd Marine Strike Group ("Spartans") was deployed to the Thermopylae.

Nomenclature[]

The ship was named after the Battle of Thermopylae that occurred in 480 B.C.E.

Thermopylae is a Starfleet International chapter based in the Pacific Northwest United States. (Starfleet International: Scott A. Akers, et al., Master Genealogy: Starfleet Region 5) She was commissioned on 28 January 2006. The first chapter president was Cathey Fuller.
