The U.S.S. Wisconsin (NCC-63764) was a Nebula-class Federation starship in the late 24th century. (Star Trek: U.S.S. Wisconsin)
History[]
Nomenclature[]
The U.S.S. Wisconsin name carried a storied history with it. Starfleet was not the first to name a ship after the state on Earth. It was first used by the United States Navy to commission an Illinois-class battlecruiser, Later, the name would go to an Iowa-class battleship and, in 2024 Old Earth Calendar, a Columbia-class submarine would be commissioned. She would be phased out in 2056 when the new Olympic class submarines would come into service.
In 2153, United Earth would return the name to use on an NX-class starship, given the registry NX-16. Its history is unknown except some debris is believed to come from the Wisconsin but no confirmation has been able to be performed due to the condition of the debris.
In 2368, The U.S.S. Wisconsin was constructed at Beta Antares Ship Yards with Commander Ashlee McKenzie in command.
