USS Witch of Endor (NCC-91485)

The USS Witch of Endor (NCC-91485) was a Visionary-class explorer in service during the early 25th century. Captain T'Lar was her commanding officer, beginning in 2409. (Chronicle)

The ship was named after the woman who summoned the prophet Samuel's spirit in the First Book of Samuel in the Christian Bible. ("The Franklin Expedition")

She was constructed at the Antares Ship Yards and commissioned stardate 87694.5. The motto on her dedication plaque read: "To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield." (David-Zahir DeviantArt)

As was the case with the two other Visionaries, the Witch of Endor was equipped with a slipstream drive which could be used for an hour at maximum before the dedicated computer core had to be reset and full diagnostics run: a 10 hour process. (Chronicle)

Suzanne Draper, a junior systems officer, found a solution to a drive/computer problem particular to the Witch of Endor. ("Songs")

Two Puerto Rico-class runabouts -- the USS Malta and USS Ellesmere -- were assigned to the Witch of Endor. ("Best Laid Plans")

In 2410, Starfleet Command assigned the Witch of Endor and her sister ships, the USS Cassandra and USS Merlin to traverse the expanse to the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy as part of the Perseus Project. (Chronicle)

Crossing the 5,000 light-year gulf between the Orion and Perseus Arms took the USS Skyview five years. It would take the Witch of Endor only 3 1/2 weeks. ("To Strive, To Seek, To Find)
