USS Yeager has also been a chapter of Starfleet International, based in Bluefield, West Virginia, since 1986.
The chapter's original metaphor was that of a Cyane-class heavy frigate. In 1993, the chapter president was Jerry Conner. (Communiqué 54) The fictional metaphor was later changed to that of a Nebula-class cruiser, with the registry of NCC-61893.
